PTA News: This Week at ASFS

Hope everyone has enjoyed a great first week back at school! Wonderful to see all the kids parading by class into school on Tuesday morning, and so many new families at our PTA meeting that night. For having the highest parent attendance, Ms. Mintzer's kindergarten class earned an extra recess!

Coming up this week at ASFS, two important events to look forward to:

  • Join us for the Back to School Picnic on Sunday, 9/9 from 4-6pm, always a fun event and great way to kick off the year (details are below). ***Note: Rain date on Sunday, 9/16 from 4-6pm. Check your email and the PTA website for updates.
  • Mark your calendar for Back to School Night on Wednesday, 9/12 from 7-8:30pm (adults only) to learn about the upcoming year from your child's teacher. Stay tuned for the agenda with classroom breakout sessions so you can plan your evening.

    ASFS No-Frills Fundraiser

Great news! We kicked off the No-Frills Fundraiser this week and we’ve already raised over $5,000 for ASFS. Thank you so much for your generous donations!

Top Ten Reasons to Donate to No-Frills:
#10 - It’s fast; just return this form with a check to the ASFS office.
#9 - Or even faster: you can donate online
#8 - It’s easy; no need to sell wrapping paper to your neighbors.
    #7 - Your donation is 100% tax-deductible.
#6 - Your employer may match your gift.
#5 - It requires almost zero volunteer time.
#4 - We are hoping for 100% participation. No donation is too small — or too big!
#3 - 100% of your donation goes directly to ASFS, not to an outside vendor.
#2 - We can spend the rest of the year focusing on our kids instead of fundraising.
#1 - It enables all of the great programs and events we have planned this year to support our kids!
